In order to ensure that babysitting as a Money Earning Project is quality Girl Scout Program the following guidelines have been developed. These guidelines will ensure that girls are prepared to care for small children.
Guidelines:

Girls must be a minimum of 11 years old. As a Girl Scout Troop, the girls need to decide on an appropriate site, audience and age appropriate activities. They also need to decide what supplies will be needed as well as the other misc. details that will make this an organized and successful event.
The families that the Girl Scouts baby-sit for should be known to the girls, i.e. – the event is marketed to families from their school, church, or neighborhood.
Children being babysat must be potty trained (no diapers).
The site should be child-friendly. Ideal sites include church classrooms, school facilities, day care facilities.
Non member insurance will need to be purchased throughout the Girl Scout Council Office.
Emergency information and contact numbers must be obtained
Girls should review their plans prior to the event.
