Tell the girls about Family Giving emphasizing:
- How Family Giving helps keep the costs down on GREAT Guide events. You can mention how benefited your troop by relating it to a GREAT Guide event your troop did that they enjoyed!
- How Family Giving helps all Girls become Girl Scouts who want to become one by helping families who need extra assistance pay for membership and a vest or sash. Point out that without the assistance some girls might not be able to afford it.

How Family Giving helps maintain council properties. Perhaps your troop has used a property?
Have your troop return the boxes to you. Deposit the money into your troop account and then write a troop check out to Girl Scouts - Columbia River Council.
